I do. I cannot tell if it is my heart talking against Philly, and they seem to fit the heartache role, or if Atlanta matches up well with them. I like DUCKETT tomorrow. But then other half of me says Philly has to GO to the dance

or do they?????

I like them because of the weather. I just came in from doing some shoveling and the wind is starting to pick up. 20-30 MPH expected with a temp of 19. The Eagles rely so much on the pass and I think they will be hurt more than the Falcons. The Eagles cannot run it down the Falcons throats with Westbrook. He is too small. Dorsey Levens scares no one. Their best run blocker Jon Runyan is hurting. Duckett on the other hand will be a biatch to bring down. To show you how much respect the Falcons are getting here in Philly, I was watching the news and they were discussing the gametime weather for tomorrow with a big old Eagles and Vikings graphic on the screen. Falcons 17 Eagles 10 Die Eagles Die

I like the Falcons with 5+ or 200+ ML. Already down at +230 and +5.5.

These Birds seem better suited to the weather conditions than the Green ones.
High winds only really hurt Eagles as it may protect suspect Falcon secondary.
Wind won't hurt Falcon passing game because they don't have one save Crumpler who should get his share of short passes that are less effected by wind.

Don't shovel too hard MB, I thought my chest was going to explode and hour ago. Duckett could be running down hill all day tomorrow. Whats your thought on that total. AP

I'd leave the total alone. If I had to choose, I'd go under. The wind will be brutal. The nice thing about this snow is that it is light and easy to shovel. I will cry if the Steelers and Eagles both win tomorrow. I would root for a Super Bowl tie. My mother in law bought my kids Brian Dawkins jerseys and she insists they wear them tomorrow. Poor kids. I've got my 4 year old trained to say "the best #20 is Ed Reed" whenever he wears it.

I got the avatar of the Terrapin Times website. God, I hate JJ Redick. Here's a good joke for the Dookies:

A first grade teacher in NC told her class that she is a Duke fan and asked the class to raise their hands if they were too. Everyone in the class raised their hands, except one girl.
"Janie, why didn't you raise your hand?" The teacher asked.
"Because I'm not a Duke fan," she said.
"Well then who are you a fan of?"
"I'm a Terp fan," she replied.
"Janie, Why are you a Terp fan?"
"Because my mom and dad are Terp fans, so I am too!"
"Well that's no reason. You don't have to be like your parents. What if your parents were snotty, arrogant jack-a sses? What would you be then?"
"Then", Janie smiled, "I'd be a Duke fan."

I dont know if it is my feelings, or my desires on this one. Eagles SHOULD win at home in the cold. I really REALLY want Atlanta to win and I think that if Vick can get a big play or two he can break this game open. Algae Crumpler I feel will have a huge game. I am right on the fence on this one. I may go with the points in this one being that it could be a game decided in the final minute by a fieldgoal.

This is the first game Atlanta has played under adverse weather conditions all season. I do not think it rained in any of their games this season, no snow or high winds either.

I think the extreme cold wears you out quicker. The chances are higher that Atlanta lays an egg on offense rather than Philly under bad weather conditions.

More chatter from disgruntled Ravens fans who wish their team was in our shoes tomorrow. Jacks you know better! :toast:

:103631605

This weather does suck...but the Birds know how to handle the crazy crosswind at Lincoln Financial. Also if anyone knows how to kick in the crazy winds you know it's David (who is the NFC's version of Adam V).

FLY EAGLES FLY....ON THE ROAD TO VICTORY!!!!

P.S. I think our defense wins this game folks. There will be turnovers and the Eagles are one team that will capitalize on key mistakes...they will not waste their opportunities like they did against Minnesota. This is ONE TEAM, ONE CITY, ONE DREAM!

Memo for Newpers:

Dorsey Levens' 2-yard touchdown run with 1:57 remaining in the fourth quarter lifted the Eagles to a 12-7 win over the Cowboys Sunday.

Domination In 'Big D', Eagles Win 49-21 IRVING, Tx. -- Donovan McNabb lit up the Texas skies, throwing four touchdown passes -- three to Terrell Owens and one to Todd Pinkston -- as the Eagles dominated Dallas, 49-21, on Monday night.

I think the Eagles need shoe shiners and floor sweepers...what are the Cowgirls doing this weekend? :suomi:

I bet Atl + 5- and will take a small shot at the M/L for pretty much the reasons stated in the above posts.

Also bet under 41 (early in week at Coast casinos) as like both D's. Weather helps as I could not visualize this total going any higher..there were actually a couple books that opened at 42. Bet this via phone on my Coast account as soon as they opened. Total is currently 37 at Coast Casinos.

Also bet Eagles -1/2 1st Quarter as they usually start quick...Atl might need a little time to adjust to field conditions..of course could be 0-0 1st Q and I lose that bet..think Akers will drill 1 or 2 early with Atlanta coming on late. As mentioned in another post halftime line will be interesting.

The only way Atlanta can win today, is if the Eagles totally self destruct and turn the ball over in their own end of the field. I would not put my hard earned money on that. They are better on paper in every category. They are at home. They are playing a dome team on the coldest and snowiest day of the year. Surely the Gods of football will favor them this day? They are due!!!!

I wouldn't be surprised to see Phill's D pitch a shut out. Atlanta will not score more than 10 points today.

IT'S OUR TURN!!!!!!!!!! :toast:

Would you not think the home team has an advantage here.
Philly knows that slick surface better than a visiting team so they know what kind of shoes to wear. It may be a minor point but something to consider.

Yes, but I think that Atlanta's team speed is a big advantage that we will see tomorrow. I think they have a better D, and they can motor.. I can see Philly maybe winning with a late field goal....

I believe game will come down to which QB rushes for the most yards and like getting 6 pts in a low scoring game. Falcons win 17-14.
